Hors Riding
Horse
riding holidays in Morocco are well established and the level
of guiding and horses is second to none. Riding in the desert
is always a special experience and one that stays with you.
A riding holiday in Morocco offers all of the thrills of a fast
canter through the desert sands with the addition of a unique
cultural experience. Morocco is a melting pot of various cultures
that is guaranteed to excite every sense.
Morocco is divided into several regions or provinces. Some of
them, such as Agadir and Casablanca are fairly well known. Others,
such as Al Hoceima and Khouribga are somewhat less visited by
tourists and therefore lesser known. However this does not mean
they have nothing to offer. Visiting some of these lesser know
areas on horse back gives a real insight into the country.
The Sahara nestled between the Nile and the Red Sea is the largest
desert in the world. Only a small part of the Sahara is fertile,
where corn, dates and other fruits grow. It has crisp clean air
and sometimes very strong windstorms. There is a large variety
of small dessert animals who inhabit this area. Night time in
the desert brings the stars closer than they have ever seemed
before.
The Atlas is the biggest mountain range in North Africa. It can
be divided up into the High region, Middle region, and Anti region.
It is an ideal place for sports lovers and sightseers. Here you
can ski, mountain bike, hike and horse ride, or simply take in
the breathtaking scenery. There are many rivers and waterfalls
in the area which should not be missed.
